PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fluctuation of a load to be applied to a grip roller due to existence of a paper sheet feeding device to be expanded. SOLUTION: A brake mechanism 47 is provided in a shaft 19c of grip rollers 19a and 19b for feeding paper sheets to resist rollers 20a and 20b. A switching mechanism 39 for switching on/off of the brake mechanism 47 in response to existence of the paper sheets feeding device is provided to prevent fluctuation of the response time for starting/stopping the grip rollers due to existence of the paper sheet feeding device, and fluctuation of quantity of slackening to be formed to correct skew is restricted.
