PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a defective part from entering a tape roll by effectively coping with the abnormal condition where a magnetic tape on the outer peripheral surface of the tape roll is damaged by nozzle or the like in taking up the magnetic tape. SOLUTION: This tape take-up device 10 includes: a take-up shaft 12 for taking up the tape 14 to form a tape roll 15; and a nozzle 16 for spraying gas to the outer peripheral surface of the tape roll in taking up the tape. The device includes: a moving means for moving the nozzle in the direction of moving forward and backward to the take-up shaft; a space measuring means for measuring the space between the tip of the nozzle and the outer peripheral surface of the tape roll; and an interlock means for stopping the operation of the device when the space between the tip of the nozzle and the outer peripheral surface of the tape roll becomes zero.
