PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always retain an adequate printing condition of a label sheet having a narrow width. SOLUTION: A pitch length of a label sheet is represented by L1, a distance between a printing means 4 and a cutter 5 is represented by L2, and then each label sheet "a" is cut as follows. When starting, n sheets are printed, "n" being an integer obtained by rounding up L2/L1 (1). After label sheet 1 is idly conveyed by a distance [L2-(n-1)L1], the label sheet "a" is cut to be separated (2). The label sheet 1 is conveyed backward by the distance [L2-(n-1)L1] and the printing is performed thereon (3). After that, the above operations (2), (3) are repeated by the necessary number of sheets (4). After the label sheet 1 is idly conveyed by the distance [L2-(n-1)L1], the label sheet "a" is cut to be separated (5).
