<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image extraction device capable of extracting the same target even if there is a variation of characteristic among a plurality of image pickup means. <P>SOLUTION: The brightness signal of a reference image picked up with an infrared camera 16R is adjusted to be always greater than the brightness signal of a search image picked up with an infrared camera 16L, and the correlation between the reference image and the search image is computed, whereby the same target can be detected in the reference image as well as in the search image without the error of detecting the background of the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
