<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information storage device capable of reducing crosstalk. <P>SOLUTION: During the recording of values of parameters M and N in a land and a groove of a frequency divider 66a by a microcomputer 67, by designating proper values to reduce crosstalk more than that when parameter values are equal during both recording operations, reference lengths of recording marks recorded in the land and the groove are set. The microcomputer 67 sets the maximum intensity of a reproduction laser beam irradiated to an MO disk from an optical pickup 60 according to whether a reading target track is a land or a groove.
