<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head which reduces the side lobe of a beam spot. <P>SOLUTION: A plane mirror 107 which reflects laser light emitted by a light emitting element 110 and reflected by a convex mirror 103 toward a light converging element 101 is composed of two concentric and annular plane mirrors having their center on the optical axis of the light converging element 101. Laser light which is incident on an area where there is no plane mirror is not reflected toward the light converging element 101. The beam spot that the laser light which includes no reflected component forms on a recording surface of an optical disk has its side lobe reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
