<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform visual, intuitive and automatic regulation of saturation easily, not for each arbitrary color specified by a user, but also for prime colors. <P>SOLUTION: The saturation regulator for regulating saturation of the output image from a printer which prints an image in accordance with the inputted image data comprises a printer driver for displaying saturation characteristics representative of saturation characteristics as a graph on hue ring, a saturation regulation window 60 which specifies, for the saturation characteristics displayed by the printer driver, a saturation position for attaining the desired characteristics for each prime color and arbitrary hue between prime colors, and a printer driver for altering the saturation characteristics, based on the saturation position specified from the saturation regulating window 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
