<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing apparatus wherein equipment not having a round-trip response time limit of a file transfer destination can have the round-trip response time limit of the file transfer destination while being connected to a network. <P>SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing apparatus comprises a recording part 118 for a file; an interface part 111 for communication; and a control part 130 wherein once it receives a content file followed by copy control information C, it confirms that round-trip response time up to the transfer destination is in a predetermined time and attaches identification information M that requires transfer to the file and records it in a recording part, and further once it receives a transfer instruction of the content file, an external device judges whether or not there is a judgement determination function of the transfer destination round-trip response time, and if not, it rewrites copy control information to copy-impossible, and it, after measuring round-trip response time to the external device and confirming that the round-trip response time is within a predetermined time, transfers the content file to a storage area of the external device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
