<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate capable of efficiently supplying light to an observer; and to provide a surface light emitting device and a liquid crystal display device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In this light guide plate 12 relating to this application, the angle θ<SB>2</SB>between a steep-sloped surface 14b and a flat surface 4c is an acute angle. In addition, the length of a base portion of each prism 14 is increased such that a resin is filled up to the apices of prisms of a die, in the light guide plate 12. That is, in the light guide plate 12, each of the prisms 14 is not constituted by only a gentle-sloped surface 14a and a steep-sloped surface 14b, but a flat surface 14c is provided between the gentle-sloped surface 14a and the steep-sloped surface 14b, and the angle θ<SB>2</SB>between the steep-sloped surface 14b and the flat surface 14c is formed to be large. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
