<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device which detects the erroneous connection of a backup line or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The monitoring device comprises: a state information storage means for acquiring the state of a backup line port for each communication apparatus via a main line and storing the state in a storage means; a corresponding information acquisition means for acquiring, from the storage means, the state of the backup line port of a second communication apparatus that is connected through a backup line to a first communication apparatus including the backup line port if the state of the backup line port indicating the occupied state of the backup line is detected; and an erroneous connection determination means for outputting a message indicating that the backup line is erroneously connected between the first communication apparatus and the second communication apparatus if the state of the backup line port of the second communication apparatus acquired by the corresponding information acquisition means indicates that the backup line is occupied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
