<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material storing cassette, achieving smooth gear connection while holding down load in storing the cassette in an apparatus body and an image forming apparatus including it. <P>SOLUTION: The tip 17a of a push-up member 17 is engaged with an engaged hole 83 with a clearance between them, and a driving gear 82 is put in the state of floating from the base 16 by a claw part 85a of a first elastic piece 85.
