PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage remaining quantities of inks when heads which discharge different quantities of inks (4pl and 8pl for example) are used by replacement in an inkjet recording device. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device judges whether a mounted head is compatible with a printer from head ID, judges a discharge quantity from information of the discharge quantity (head information) and converts a dot count and the discharge quantity judged to ink consumption.
