PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic liquid for driving an electrolytic capacitor which can restrain tanδchange without lowering a breakdown voltage. SOLUTION: In the electrolytic liquid for driving an aluminum electrolytic capacitor; azelaic acid, adipic acid or carboxylic acid such as benzoic acid or its ammonium salt, boric acid or its ammonium salt, and m-nitroglycerine-para toluidine of 0.10 to 5.0 wt.% (shown in the figure) are mixed to a solvent mainly comprising ethylene glycol.
