PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rewrite the firmware of a CPU used for a home electric appliance or the like by use of an output signal of audio equipment. SOLUTION: In a control circuit of the electronic equipment, a digital signal of a digital audio interface standard is inputted from external audio equipment 30 through an input terminal, data located in a predetermined timing position in one frame of the digital signal are extracted, and the firmware or data stored in a flash memory 12 are rewritten based on the analysis result of the extracted data and the extracted data.
