PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently support an expansion device for a bridge by a floor slab part even when a large-scale earthquake occurs, in a expansion gap structure for arranging the expansion device for the bridge constituting a small expansion gap with the mutual floor slab parts overhanging in the expansion gap. SOLUTION: In this expansion gap structure, the expansion gap is formed between mutual bridge girders 1 and 1, and the expansion device for the bridge is arranged for constituting the small expansion gap U1 of the mutual floor slab parts 2 and 2 overhanging in the expansion gap U. An opposed surface of the floor slab parts 2 and 2 is formed in a recess-projection shape in a plan view. A distance between a tip part of a projection part 20 of one floor slab part 2 and a bottom part of a recessed part 21 of the other floor slab part 2 opposed to this part, is set equal to a expansion gap width. When the mutual floor slab parts 2 and 2 approach in the bridge axis direction, the projection part 20 of one floor slab part 2 is fitted in the recessed part 21 of the other floor slab part 2.
