PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect the inside face by imaging at a high speed and in a contactless manner, even for cans with relatively small dimensions of aperture. SOLUTION: An auto-rotating section 13 making a can 1 to rotate is conveyed intermittently by a rotation conveying section 12 to stop at a first, a second and a third imaging sections 2, 3, and 4, respectively, to image the inside face of a bottle can 1. In the first imaging section 2, a neck surface, including both the mouth part and the screw surface, is imaged from outside of the mouth section by a line sensor camera 22 with wide elevation angles, while self-rotating the self-rotating section 13. Also in the second imaging section 3 a neck rear surface, including the screw rear surface, and a shoulder part visible from interior of the can with a semi-cylindrical shaped reflecting mirror inserted into interior of the can, are imaged by a line sensor camera 32, with self-rotating the self-rotating section 13. At the third imaging section 4, a lateral face and the bottom of the can are imaged by a single-shot camera 42 that is under oblique angle multi-light source oblique angle illumination from the outside of mouth section. After the abnormal parts of the inside face of can are detected by an image analysis section 5 from each image by the first to the third imaging sections, and an inspection section 6 conducts testing and deciding and selects the cans.
