PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a single step of molding a tile bearing a hooked engaging projection with an insertion space to allow plugging-in from one side. SOLUTION: An apparatus for molding the tile which has a hooked engaging projection (16) with an insertion space (20) to allow plugging-in from one side; wherein its die (30) consists of a top mold (32) and a bottom mold (33) which jointly form a cavity (31) as a material charging space. The bottom mold (33) is for molding the back face of a tile (1) and the top mold (32) is for molding the front face of the tile (1). A projection forming unit (35) to form an engaging projection (16) is formed on the top mold (32) by notching, an external forming unit (36) is prepared outside of the projection forming unit (35) as a part of side frames, and a press molding unit (37) of corresponding shape with the insertion space(20) is arranged, back and forth movable in the direction of the projection forming unit (35) through the external forming unit (36) to a partial forming mold (34).
