PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing/drying machine where time for drying is shortened in a constitution of drying laundry articles using a heat pump. SOLUTION: The washing/drying machime is prpvided with a heat pump 18 for circulating a coolant in an air duct 8 so as to compress with a compressor 10, condense with a condenser 11, and evaporate with an evaporator 9, and is provided with an air circulation path 19 for guiding air heated by the condenser 11 into a rotary drum 6 to dry the laundry inside based on the operation of the compressor 11 and a blower 12 in the case of drying operation, and for circulating exhaust from the rotary drum 6 so as to heat it again by the condenser 11 after it is dehumidified by the evaporator 9. In the air circulation path 19, an electric heater 20 is arranged. In the case of spin-drying operation in a step prior to the drying operation, the blower 12 is operated and the electric heater 20 is heat-operated to supply warm air to the heat pump 18 through the air circulation path 19 to pre-heat the heat pump 18.
