PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sulfonic acid polymer having a high softening temperature and a solid polymer electrolyte comprising the sulfonic acid polymer as an active ingredient.

SOLUTION: The polymer comprises a monomer unit represented by formula (A) (RFis a fluorine atom, a 1-6C perfluoroalkyl group or a 2-6C perfluoroalkyl group containing an ethereal oxygen atom between a carbon-carbon bond or QFSO2F; QFis a 1-6C a perfluoroalkylene group or a 2-6C perfluoroalkyl group containing an ethereal oxygen atom between a carbon-carbon bond).
