<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery with a fixing means formed on a terminal plate for fixing the terminal plate onto an electrode terminal to prevent the rotation of the terminal plate in the process of welding an electrode tab to a cap assembly or joining the cap assembly to the upper part of a can. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery comprises the electrode assembly having a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate and a separator, the can storing the electrode assembly and electrolyte, and the cap assembly having a cap plate, an insulating plate, the terminal plate and the electrode terminal and joined to an upper opening portion of the can to seal the can. The terminal plate has the fixing means for fixing it to the electrode terminal not to be rotated. In this case, the terminal plate has a terminal through-hole at a predetermined position for the electrode terminal to be inserted and joined thereinto.
