PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use functions peculiar to a plurality of printers without installing a plurality of integrated printer drivers and registering a plurality of logic printers.

SOLUTION: The CPU of a client PC 3 requests a server PC 1 to retrieve a printer that can execute functions desired to be temporarily used using integrated printer driver programs installed in the client PC 3. Based on a reply from the server PC 1 in response to the request, the CPU of the client PC 3 acquires second logic printer information linked to a printer that can execute the functions desired to be temporarily used from the server PC 1, and temporarily replaces first logic printer information registered in the client PC 3 with the acquired second logic printer information to perform input control of printing setup, printing job generation and transmission control.
