PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space saving underwater switch mechanism provided with a pressing operation member without being carelessly operated by water pressure. SOLUTION: This is the underwater switch mechanism provided with a front cover 2a of a sheath member in which a shaft receiving hole 61 is formed, a release shaft 53 which is fitted to the shaft receiving hole 61 water tightly and displaceably in the shaft direction, a release lever 51 which is turnable around a supporting shaft 51a, and which has a press convex part 51c to become an action point to displace the release shaft 53 in the shaft direction, and in which a release cap 52 to become a power point to receive power amount from the exterior is integrally mounted, and which is constituted so that a distance from a fulcrum to the action point becomes longer than that from the fulcrum to the action point, and a release spring 55 which is arranged and installed to act a biasing force to return the release lever 51 against water pressure applied to the release shaft 53 at a position of a longer distance from the fulcrum than the distance from the fulcrum to the action point.
