PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality pigment-coated paper with excellent high-speed coating properties in good operability while effectively suppressing the generation of coating defects such as streaks. SOLUTION: The pigment-coated paper has at least one or more layers of coated layers obtained by coating a coating liquid containing a pigment and an adhesive as essential components at least on one surface of a paper base consisting essentially of a cellulose fiber, and drying the coated product. The high-shear viscosity of the coated liquid measured at 1.8×105(1/s) shear rate is≤40 mPa s, and the immobilization time of the coating liquid measured by using a specific device for measuring the immobilization time of the coating liquid under a specified condition is≥200 s.
