PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic seal material capable of preventing occurrence of flow (moving of a coating layer). SOLUTION: This metallic seal material is provided between a first flat face and a second flat face being parallel mutually and the whole shape is annular. This metallic seal material has a first contact part close to the inner periphery abutted on the first flat face and having projecting cross section, a second contact part close to the outer periphery abutted on the second flat face and having projecting cross section, and an intermediate wall part for connecting in a tapered shape in which diameter is gradually enlarged from the first contact part to the second contact part. This material has larger radius of curvature of the second contact part having projecting cross section than radius of curvature of the first contact part having projecting cross section or has a first contact projecting part abutted on an intermediate basic part and the first flat face and a second contact projecting part abutted on the second flat face. The first contact projecting part is provided in a protruding manner close to inside diameter of the intermediate basic part, and the second contact projecting part is provided in a protruding manner close to outside diameter of the intermediate basic part to cause twist elastic deformation rotating centered on the intermediate basic part by pressing force received from the first flat face and the second flat face in a mounting compressed condition.
