PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide one starting raw material compound for synthesizing (+)-vinblastines and useful for the synthesis of indole derivatives. SOLUTION: The starting raw material compound of general formula B is useful for the synthesis of the intermediate useful for synthesizing the indole derivatives by utilizing a radical cyclization reaction of thioanilides and enabling the synthesis of 11-membered ring.
