PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical holder for a toilet paper roll, which is mounted on an existing toilet paper holder, not bulky, and allows a chemical to permeate the toilet paper. SOLUTION: The chemical holder for a toilet paper roll is mounted to a cylindrical space provided in a core of a toilet paper roll. The holder is composed of a hollow cylindrical body having an predetermined full length substantially the same as the full width of the toilet paper roll and an outer diameter size formed slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the cylindrical space, and cover bodies for closing the openings at both ends of the cylindrical body. The outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body is formed with a plurality of circular holes with a small diameter or a plurality of narrow slots formed along the longitudinal direction, the center parts of the cover bodies composing both end surfaces of the cylindrical body are provided with engagement means, such as holes, recesses, or protrusions, which engage with mounting portions of a toilet paper holder, and at least one of the cover bodies is formed so as to be attached to and detached from the cylindrical body.
