PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing apparatus for household use which can be used for initial fire extinguishment without any discharge faults at the time of use (discharge) since a clogging prevention cover part of a mechanism frame body normally blocks the distal end port of a discharge pipe, thus oil and dust, etc., are not stuck to the distal end port of the discharge pipe and the distal end port does not clog. SOLUTION: The fire extinguishing apparatus comprises a fire extinguishing material discharge mechanism composed of the mechanism frame body 3 fixed to the frame closure 1a of a fire extinguishing material storage container 1 and the discharge pipe 5 in an inverse L shape equipped inside the mechanism frame body 3 so as to be lowered, and when the discharge pipe 5 is pushed down, the lower end port 6 of the discharge pipe 5 pushes open the valve part 2 of the fire extinguishing material storage container 1 and a fire extinguishing material is discharged from the distal end port 7 of the discharge pipe 5 to the side part. The clogging prevention cover part 8 is formed by bending the upper front part of the mechanism frame body 3 downwards, the clogging prevention cover part 8 blocks the distal end port 7 of the discharge pipe 5 usually, and the distal end port 7 of the discharge pipe 5 is detached from the clogging prevention cover part 8 at the time of the use (discharge) for which the discharge pipe 5 is lowered.
