<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat light source device that appropriately increases the color reproduction and luminance of outgoing light and can suppress uneven luminance of the outgoing light, and a liquid crystal display device using it. <P>SOLUTION: The flat light source device has a first light guide plate 6 for emitting incident light from one main surface, a LED array substrate 2 positioned behind and having an array of LEDs 1 of three colors (red LEDs, green LEDs and blue LEDs), a first reflection plate 3 for reflecting light radiated from the LEDs 1 of three colors of the LED array substrate 2, a plurality of second light guide plates 4a and 4b each for receiving at one end near the reflection plate 3 light of each color emitted by the red LEDs, blue LEDs and green LEDs and radiating mixed white light from the other end, and a plurality of second reflection plates 5a and 5b for reflecting the white light radiated from the other ends of the plurality of second light guide plates 4a and 4b into both ends of the first light guide plate 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
