<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cheap press-fit terminal 10 by eliminating waste of material. <P>SOLUTION: The press-fit terminal 10 is formed by turning both ends of a stick-shaped member 17 into terminal parts 11, 12, forming the terminal part 11 into a press-fit composed of a pair of elastic contact parts 11b interposing a deflection space 11a, and by forming a fall-off prevention part 13 having an indented part 13a on the middle part of the stick-shaped member. The press-fit terminal 10 is formed by applying press work on the stick-shaped member 17 to form the press-fit terminal part 11 (a pair of elastic contact parts 11b interposing a deflection space 11a) and the fall-off prevention part 13 (indented part 13a). When the thickness of the press fit terminals are same with each other, as the cut out line for separating the stick-shaped member from a flat plate is linear, wasteful part a is reduced to the utmost.
