<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric contact device allowing a contact to be mounted on a printed circuit board as simply as possible by a surface mounting technique. <P>SOLUTION: This electric contact device for, in particular, an apparatus such as a mobile radio telephone or a small computer, in particular, a printed circuit board insertion connector has a housing and flat contacts stamped out from a thin plate and held by an insulator of the housing. Each contact has, at one end, a contact zone acting on a mating contact device in at least one of its stamped edges, and has, at the other end, a connection part for connecting itself to a conductor surface of the printed circuit board; and at least one of stamped edges of the connection part projected from the insulator housing forms a brazing surface for mounting the contact device on the printed circuit board. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
