<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printing device which can shorten warming-up time, reduce heat or load stress to be brought to bear on a thermal recording sheet, save power consumption, and accelerate the conveying speed of the sheet by solving a conventional problem of a heat roller mounted in an image erasure part of the heat-sensitive recording sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A heater 91 positioned at a right angle with the conveyance direction of the thermal recording sheet 60 and in a direction parallel with the sheet 60 regarded as a longitudinal direction, is installed inside a cylindrical housing 92. Further, a slit-shape opening 93 is opened in an opposite part to the sheet 60 of the housing 92, and also a blower 94 for blowing air to the housing 92 is installed.
