<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the monitor screen display method of a plant monitoring system for immediately recognizing the relevancy of display contents on screens before and after the change of a display screen. <P>SOLUTION: Even when the display of a system diagram format monitor screen is requested during the display of a trend graph format monitor screen 1, the whole trend graph format monitor screen 1 is not replaced with the system diagram format monitor screen, but the system diagram format monitor screen whose display is requested is window-displayed as a 1/4 reduced monitor screen 3.
