<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for preventing an oversight of notification information in application. <P>SOLUTION: In response to a request to close an application interface, for example, an instant messaging session window, two instances of checking are disclosed. In the first instance, the method includes a step for checking whether or not the application interface is selected after the last notification information and a step for requesting confirmation of the close when the application interface is not selected as requested.
