LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof which are capable of displaying an original image without breaking of an image while circuit structure is simple. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display includes: a display panel provided with a plurality of pixels connected to gate lines and data lines; a gate driving part integrated on the display panel and a memory performing writing and reading operations in response to prescribed control signals and synchronization signals, wherein the display panel comprises a normal mode and a rotated mode, and wherein the frequency of writing operations is smaller than the frequency of reading operations and last-inputted data are outputted first when the display panel is operated in the rotated mode. By such a system, a gate driving part is integrated on the display panel and the image is displayed in the same direction as that of an image before rotation even when the display panel is rotated.
