PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a movement in the periphery of the axis of a hollow body or the movement within a wide range, in which the axis is moved, in a sealing device preventing an intrusion into a pit of groundwater at a time when the hollow body such as a pipe is pipe-jacked from the inside of the pit with an earth retaining wall. SOLUTION: The sealing device has an entrance plate with an opening receiving the hollow body mounted on the earth retaining wall in a watertight manner, an annular cutoff body installed on the outer peripheral surface of the hollow body and a holding plate being secured to the entrance plate and having the opening receiving the hollow body. In the sealing device, the cutoff body is held movably while maintaining a cutoff function between the entrance plate and the holding plate. The cutoff body is composed of first and second sealing members and a plurality of split members holding both sealing members. The second sealing member is received to at least one of both opposed side faces receiving the first sealing member on the inner peripheral surfaces of each split member in each split member, and the split members can be connected separably by a connecting means.
