The invention concerns a quilt protective cover (1), of the type comprising sides (4, 5) capable of being disassembled by a zipper to provide easy access to the inside of the quilt (1) thereby facilitating inserting or removing a lining, such as a quilt. Said quilt is characterized in that at least one of the faces of the cover (1) is provided with at least two zip fasteners (8, 9), said zip fasteners being arranged on said face (3) proximate lateral edges (8, 9) of the cover (1) to enable the sides (4, 5) to be rapidly disassembled while maintaining the faces (2, 3) permanently assembled at least at two corners to enable the quilt to be immobilized by its corners.
