The device includes a control unit (5) for controlling the length of the temporal function and intensity of a swirling device (6) and a suction device (7). The control unit serves for removing the remaining powder deposit and the powder concentration of circulating air during down time of a printing machine. The control unit is placed upstream to a measuring device determining the powder deposit.
