The anti-spray strip (1) for flange connections on pipes carrying corrosive materials has an inner layer (4) made from a white or light-colored textile and an outer layer (2) made from transparent plastic. The ends (3, 5) of the strip are fastened around the connection by a quick-release connection, e.g. hook-pile fasteners.
