<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gauntlet capable of being easily put on and taken off and making an arm covering part scarcely slip down after put on. <P>SOLUTION: This gauntlet 11 is composed of a glove part 13 and the arm covering part 14, wherein the glove part 13 covers the hand, the arm covering part 14 is joined to the glove part 13 and covers a part of the arm, and the parts 13, 14 are integrally formed out of a synthetic resin sheet. The arm covering part 14 has a shape of being widely spread toward an opening edge 16 and is structured so that a rod-like material having flexibility and shape-retaining properties, such as a wire, is attached to the inside of the opening edge 16 all around a circumference of the edge. Thus, the hand is passed through a gauntlet opening 17 in such a state that the opening edge 16 is deformed into a ring shape, when the gauntlet is put on, and then the gauntlet opening 17 is deformed by twisting the opening edge 16, so as to decrease a gap between the arm and the arm covering part.
