A halogen filament lamp (HFL) (1) inserts into an outer bulb (50) supported by an Edison screw cap (ESC) (52) having a ceramic body (54) with its support flange (SF) (56) supporting the outer bulb and inserted in the HFL. The SF supports a threaded sleeve (58) on the ESC. Contact surfaces (60,62) link to associated contact pins via feeder wires (64,66).
