METHOD OF SCREENING SUBSTANCE IMPROVING LIPID METABOLISM

It is intended to provide a method of screening a drug for improving lipid metabolism and/or a drug for improving insulin resistance without showing any side effects such as TG synthesis acceleration. An LXR transcription and conjugation factor clone 6 is identified by the yeast two-hybrid system and it is found out that this factor regulates the transcription of ABCA1 and/or SREBP1c playing important roles in lipid metabolism and sugar metabolism. Based on this finding, a screening system for a drug for improving lipid metabolism and/or improving insulin resistance, which regulates the activity or expression of the clone 6 or interaction thereof with LXR, etc. without showing any side effects such as TG synthesis acceleration, is constructed.
