<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent errors in slip data by surely making a verifier determine correctness of the slip data when the verifier of the slip data performs error checking of the slip data. <P>SOLUTION: A verification terminal 16 performs the error checking of financial institution names of payment recipients that are included in the slip data. Then, when having acquired information of branch office names of payment recipients associated with the financial institution names, an item data candidate retrieval part 164b of the verification terminal 16 retrieves a financial institution name to be a correction candidate of the financial institution name of payment recipient from a database in association with the acquired branch office name.
