<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and its method that identifies arbitrary nodes to a system diagram of a distribution system and the like, and that specifies a section between them. <P>SOLUTION: This section specifying system is provided with a system diagram information managing portion 11 that manages information about each node and span that constitute the system diagram and ID information given to each node, an input portion 12 that receives inputs of node identifications, a searching portion 13 that creates a searching sentence using the ID information based on the node identifications and specifies a section constituted by a searched span by searching the span between the identified nodes; and an output portion 14 that displays and outputs the system diagram that visually shows the identified section by the searching portion 13. This searching portion 13 creates the searching sentence that searches the span between the identified nodes, by combining a searching sentence that searches nodes in the direction from a most upstream node to downstream node in the system diagram with an exclusive searching sentence that excludes the nodes in the direction from the nodes other than the most upstream node to the downstream node of the nodes identified by the inputs of the input portion 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
