发明名称 OPTICAL PLASTIC MATERIAL REDUCED IN PHOTOELASTIC BIREFRINGENCE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical plastic material which hardly reveals photoelastic birefringence. SOLUTION: The optical plastic material reduced in photoelastic birefringence by making an inorganic substance coexist with a macromolecule resin is provided. As inorganic particulate, the particle having the photoelastic birefringence with a reverse sign to that of the macromolecule resin and a diameter smaller than the wavelength of light (100nm or less, especially, 30nm or less) to be inputted to an optical material are adopted. The macromolecule resin is formed through a polymerization process, and lots of the inorganic minute particles is added either before or after the end of the polymerization process. When the optical plastic material reduced in photoelastic birefringence is formed into an optical device and an optical component by molding or the like, the photoelastic birefringence becomes lower compared with that constituted of only the macromolecule resin.
