PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic mesh fixing construction of exhaust double-walled pipes and a fixing method thereof capable of fixing a metallic mesh without bringing about an increase in the number of parts and spot welding operations, and capable of coping with the bending of exhaust double-walled pipes. SOLUTION: A metallic mesh fixing construction of an exhaust double-walled pipe includes an inner pipe 2 forming an exhaust gas passage, and an outer pipe 1 provided outside the inner pipe 2 having the predetermined clearance between the inner pipe 2 and the outer pipe 1, and one end side of the inner pipe 2 is fixed to the outer pipe 1, whereas the other end side is fixed slidably in an axial direction to the outer pipe 1 via a metallic mesh 3. At the other end side of the inner pipe 2, cut and raised portions 4a, 4b shaped so as to be cut and raised radially outward are provided, which cause the metallic mesh 3 to be held to the cut and raised portions 4a, 4b.
