PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve 1 capable of reducing dimension in an axial direction and working cost, easy to replace an inlet orifice 80 and easily maintained. SOLUTION: This fuel injection valve 1 includes a cylinder 21, a high pressure fuel flow in passage 22, and a valve body 20 provided with a low pressure fuel flow out passage 23. A solenoid valve 3 includes a needle 5 and a needle holder 6, a disk shape orifice plate 7 is stored in a lower side of the needle holder 6. A control piston 41 is stored in a cylinder 21, a pressure control chamber 45 is formed between an upper end thereof and an orifice plate 7. A high pressure fuel lead in passage 11 communicating with the high pressure fuel flow in passage 22, and a round section high pressure fuel lead in passage 12 communicating with the high pressure fuel lead in passage 11 and a plate chamber 70 are formed on the valve body 20. An outlet orifice 73 is formed at a center of the orifice plate 7, and a high pressure lead in groove 74 is formed on an lower surface.
