摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system for controlling so that an idling stop is not prohibited as far as possible. SOLUTION: An idling stop ECU executes a program including a step (S100) for computing an average vehicle speed, a step (S200) for computing SOC(a) of a SOC threshold for normally starting electric-power generation, which becomes lower as an average vehicle-speed is higher, a step (S300) for detecting SOC of a battery, a step (S500) in which if SOC is smaller than SOC(a) (YES in S400), a power-generation pattern (B) of a power-generation mode at a low vehicle speed is selected, and a step (S600) in which if SOC is not smaller than SOC(a) (NO in S400), a power-generation pattern (A) of a power-generation mode at a high vehicle speed is selected. As to the power-generation pattern, when a vehicle is at high speed under acceleration, power-generation by an alternator is not effected in expectation of regeneration braking, while the vehicle is at a low speed under acceleration, power-generation by the alternator is effected, because the regeneration braking can not be expected.
