PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device which performs deodorization and purification of the interior of a room upon opening/closing of the sliding door. SOLUTION: The sliding door device is formed of the sliding door 4 arranged in an entrance of the room, a sliding door frame member 2, and a door pocket 3 arranged on one side of the sliding door frame member 2, for housing therein the sliding door.
