PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether or not a train could be stopped at a prescribed fixed point stop position accurately. SOLUTION: This automatic train operating device is stopped the train at the prescribed fixed point stop position by giving and receiving data between the ground and a train via a pick up on ground provided at the prescribed fixed point stop position on a train travelling track and a pick up provided in the train. This device comprises a pick up on ground information control means for including a prescribed pick up connection information indicating that the pick up on ground and the pick up are in connection in a prescribed ground information transmitted to the train from the pick up on ground when the pick up on ground is receiving on-train information higher than a prescribed reception level from the pick up, and a confirming means confirming that the train is stopped at the prescribed fixed point stop position under the condition that the pick up receives the prescribed ground information from the pick up on ground, and the prescribed pick up connection information exists in the receiving signal.
