PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain kick-up part structure of a side member capable of preventing a kick-up part 16 from buckling at the time of collision while suppressing weight increase. SOLUTION: The kick-up part 16 of a front side member 10 is composed of a kick-up body part 24 having a hat-shaped cross section and a thick plate part 26B of the front part 26 of a floor panel 12. Plate thickness ratio of the thick plate part 26B with respect to a side wall 24B of the kick-up body part 24 is set to be 1.3 or more and 1.8 or less, the angle of the side wall 24B with respect to a bottom wall 24A is set to be 95°or more and 97°or less. Accordingly, buckling strength relative to bending moment generated at the time of front collision is balanced by the thick plate part 26B and the side wall 24B of the kick-up body part 24, and the highest bending yield strength can be obtained.
